Journal - Who is the oldest family member of your family you have ever met? What do you know about your family history? Have your parents ever told you anything thing about your family history? Do you know what kind of heritage you have? Explain as much as you can about your family and any history you have knowledge of.

I met my great-grandma once when I was very little. She is from my moms side and is fully Irish. I do not know very much about my family history. My mom is 100% Irish. My dad is a mix of everything. I do not know anything about where my family came from or why.

Journal - Which web design platform did you choose - Wix or Weebly? What are three things you've learned about Web Design so far?

I chose Wix becuase it looked the most user friendly to me. Im glad I chose this platform because it has created the results I wanted. I have learned that you must create a consistent color scheme while still making the website look appealing. I have learned that you can link social media to your website in many different forms. I have also learned that you must create a consistent header and footer to have on each page of your website.

Journal - What have you learned about making a website? Explain.

I have learned that a good website must have a consistent header and footer on every page of your website. A good website must also have a consistent color scheme so as not to distract from the focus. The first step in making a website is to create a domain name so your website can be found. It is easier to create a website if you start with a pre-made layout instead of creating your own. A good website has interesting information that flows well throughout the different pages.

Journal - What do you know about building and creating a website? Have you ever done it before? List qualities of a well designed and well functioning website.

I have never built a website before. I know that you must get a domain name. Before you start making a website you must plan out your ideas. Then you can design your website. Once you are finished you have to publish your website so it can be viewed by the public. A good website is organized, thorough, appealing, and interesting. 

Top Three Favorites

1. Haryo Tuludo, Papers Love. The idea was very creative and the finished product looked very cool. This stop-motion animation was very different then everyone elses. It was very interesting to watch and just an overall great job.
2. Grant Daugherty, the Race. The stop-motion animation was very different then everyone elses and was very creative. I like the way he thought outside the box and made it unique. I thought the video was done very well.
3. Connor Heaton, colored pieces. The photography was done very well, so that the video flowed very well and looked like one image. The finished project was interesting. Although the basic idea was not very creative, he made the video creative in other ways.

Journal - Tell me about two things you've learned while creating you stop-motion animation video. Go in to detail about those two items.

I have learned how to use a tripod and how to use movie maker. I used a tripod for the first time in order to keep the camera still. I wanted to use a tripod so that all the pictures would be taken from the exact same angle. I have never used movie maker before. Now I know how to import pictures and maneuver them to make a video. Creating my stop-motion animation video has taught me more about using technology.
